Themes: Stories of the Romantic Love after the Honeymoon has Finished

Submission Deadline: December 15th, 12:00am, EST

After Happily Ever After – An Anthology is looking for submissions of short stories (3,000–7,500 words in length) about the story after the happily ever after we are so used to hearing about in our greatest romantic fantasies. In the world of rom-coms and princess tales, we aim to celebrate the long lasting love that stands both the test of time and the trials and tribulations of everyday life. We will be accepting both stories written from both your own lives and those more fictitious, so long as they are cemented in the grounding of a soulmate connection that takes the real work that a real love calls for – we can’t wait to read what you come up with!

Some guidelines on how to send your submission:

• Your submission is in 12pt, Times New Roman font.
• The formatting of your submission is single spaced, with no spaces in between paragraphs, unless otherwise necessary.
• There is only one space after a terminal punctuation mark (period, question mark, etc.).
• The title of your submission and the name you wish to be published under are clearly stated at the top of your Google Doc.
• Each piece to be submitted is in its own Google Doc and is sent in with its own form.

Lastly, you are more than welcome to submit previously published work, so long as its publication rights are not restricted.
